Average one month one race, but not monthly half marathon.

First race in 2013 with Penang  Run 17km, first time in history, LLC double Leng crossed finishing line together.

First half marathon of the year, Brooks Half Marathon at Bukit Jalil area, the worst half marathon in my entire running life, worst than PBIM 2012, leg cramp when reached the last km, walk and run to the finishing but I get my first trophy in my entire running life.

Bidor Half marathon, my favourite event, always did well during Bidor half marathon despite of hilly route and started late.

First series of Penang Run 2013-2014, also first instalment of the round Penang island relay.

Seremban Half Marathon, the only 21km event that I never missed out for 6 years continuously.

Safra Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon become my new favourite event in Singapore and give up SCMS, reason simply because flag off at 5:15am and I can finished before sunrise.

Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2013, this event was postpone for 3 months due to haze issue in KL, managed to completed within my expectation time.

3rd series of Penang Run 2013-2014, came back after missed out the 2nd series, 5km uphill and heavy downpour during flag off. Run with training pace for the whole journey.

Putrajaya Night Marathon, the most windy Putrajaya night run I ever ran after the heavy rain.

adidas Kong Of The Road, back to back event after Putrajaya Night Marathon, 21km + 10km within 12hours, plan to run it as recovery run but end up with training pace.

Penang Bridge International Mrathon 2013, the long wait event for most of us, glad the event still held on the old bridge, revenged for my PBIM 2012 poor timing, good weather during the race help me to achieved my half marathon PB of year 2013, although my "From 2:45 to 1:45" mission failed to achieved.

Same as last year, completed 11 races, 9 half marathons and two 25km Newton Run. Both 25km Newton Run as Opening and Closing race of 2012.

Among the nine half marathons, did 3 at Singapore.

Started 2012 running with Newton New Year Challenge, been photographer after suffering from 25km rolling hills, but end up with forget to have a group photo with my gang.

Due to oversea business trip, I've skip few race in March.

First 21km of the year was Sundown Marathon, and also can consider the earliest flag off race I ever join. Ran the whole race in sleepy feel.

First half marathon in Malaysia, Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2012, first time drove from South to KL for this event, instead of from North to KL as previous years.

Photo at BackHome Hostel, our regular accomodation during SCKLM for years...

Ipoh International Run, lst minute sign up for this event after skip for 2 year after I have an opportunity back to Penang. Ipoh route know as flat as airport runway, but under distance.

Seremban Haf Marathon, my favourite event which I ran continuos for 5 years. FOC OT at Melaka on Saturday and direct go to Seremban at midnight, run with suffering for the whole race.

Larian Hijau MPSP, frst half marathon event in Seberang Perai area, organized by MPSP with assist by a group of runners from Penang. I am proud to be a small part of the committee team as well, join the team as survey run runner, and photographer after my run.

Safra Singapore Bay Run & Army Half Marathon, an event that I wish to join since few year ago, and I make it this year, as most of the time I am working in Southern of Malaysia, just take this opportunity to join. Flag off time at 5:15am is good for me, I'll back again next year.

Brooks KRI Annual Road Race 2012 , first 21km event from KRI. LLC Leehom Wang (黄绿红) in action.

Penang Bridge International Marathon, the last year for this event to held on Penang Bridge, before move to 2nd Penang Bridge on 2013. Take the opportunity to run this race as closing race for 2012. The well known rolling hill route, I can't feel any flat road at all.

My knee injury not fully recover yet, First 16km still managed to sustain the minor pain, but I really want to give up after 16.5km onwards, Chee Siang overtook me at 19.8km, thinking of follow his pace but mission failed.

Slightly under distance compare with last year, due to minor changing of the route. Drink stations is sufficient enough, but only one station at 16.5km serve isotonic drink.

Glad I can completed the race without cramp, although knee pain become serious after 19km.

Race Report: New Year Newton Challenge 2012

Location: Bandar Kinrara, Puchong
Date/Time: 1st Jan 2012 @ 5:30am
Category: Men Open 25km
Bib: 1226
Distance: 24.49 km (by Garmin FR405)
Timing: 2'11:47 (Gun Time) /2'11:32 (Chip Time)
Average Pace: 5:23 per km
Rank: 55th

Not well prepared and knee pain, aim to do 2:20 initially, with slightly over distance like 2010, but end up with under distance this year.

Glad this year flag off at 5:30am, an hour earlier compare with previous year.

Started the multiple rolling hills after 4km until 20km, really suffer especially during down hill, knee pain after 14km onwards, sometimes have to run with one and half legs, not both legs.

Drink stations every 3.5km, mostly served water, only few isotonics drink after 13km, better than nothing.

Felt happy that I can crossed finishing line with sub 2:15, better than my expectation, but slightly under distance.

Switch myself from runner to photographer, but end up with forget to have group photo with my LLC gang...

Wrap up: Running in 2010

Completed 21 runs in 2010, same as last year. Among this 21 races, 13 are half marathon.

Celebrated 2010 New Year with Saucony Pacemakers Network Run at Lake Garden. First time join the race organized by der Pacemakers Network. A well organized event, I enjoy the race.

Running up the staircase is the most torturing during this race

New Balance Pacesetters 30km, decided not to run 30km and go for 20km just because of injured after SCSM 2009, and also Penny's concert at Genting on the night before. Although with lack of sleep, and the rolling hills route, still manage to completed with 4:59 per km pace, but very amkan that my timing chip not working, no official time and no certificate.

Putrajaya Night Marathon, first night half marathon, not easy to run at night, even though all my weekday training run were at evening. take is as an experience and prepare for Sundown 21km.

Bareno Run at Bulit Jalil area, nice route with some hilly route, the most difficult part is after 10 km, up and down for about 3 km inside Taman Rekreasi Bukit Jalil.

Energizer Night Race at Cyberjaya, 2nd night half marathon. Bad experience with stomach ache for last 7km, endure till the end and direct run to toilet after crossing finishing line.

Bidor half marathon, my 3rd run in Bibor since 2008. Can't perform well compare with last year, weather started hot after 17km downhill route, torturing for the last 4km.

Nice finishing medal from Bidor.

New Balance Pacesetters 15km, another rolling hills route at Double hills area, meet up many friends during this race.

adidas Sundown marathon, my first oversea night race, first time join adidas Sundown Marathon after the 21km half marathon event have been introduced this year. Finished with PB (Bad) in half marathon. Conclucled that night run is really tough.

nice and unique finishing medal.....

Setia Eco Half Marathon, heavy rain half way but manage to run faster, 4:56 pace during this race gain back confidence for my next half marathon, SCKLM.

SCKLM 2010, an important race for me, after get my first sub 1:45 in AIMS certified half marathon during SCSM 2009, SCKLM become my next target. Pushing by some other runners, raining before the race and good weather, my target achieved with 1'44:14 (net time)

Seremban Half Marathon, another my must go event. Drove 140km, run 21km, drove 140km again, within 8 hours. Completed with sub 1:45 but slightly under distance.

Taiping Herritage Run, first race in Taiping, thanks to the organizer Kevin Otk from Taiping Road Runner for giving me my favourite bib number.

LLC Runners jumping at Taiping heritage area

1 Malaysia National Charity Run, my first ever race in the town/state (Muar, Johor) where I born and grown...

Photo after the race, with clock tower at Dataran Tanjung Emas as background.

Hatyai Nature Run, first race in Thailand. As the name "Nature Run", we really run in the nature enviroment from 6 km to 15 km, surrounding by rubber estate and the killing hilly road.

Newton 25km Challenge Kuala Lumpur, survived from 25.84km rolling hills route at Bukit Kinrara and received a nice finishing Tee...

LLC runners during Newton 25km

Tanjung 10km Run, first race in Penang this year, take it as a training for coming race.

Mizuno Wave Run at UPM, Suprising that I can run better compare with 2009, with lack of training, 4:46 per km pace.

Powerman 2010, Team 2 Plus 2 came back for 3rd season in Powerman Malaysia 2010, Men’s Relay category.

Aim for podium finishing failed again and also out of top 5, no cash prize at all.

PBIM 2010, heavy rain since 14km till the end, crossing finishing line with 1'47:00, mission for my 3rd sub 1:45 in AIMS certified Half Marathon failed.

Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2010. Ahead 1:45 pacer from starting till the end, crossing finishing line with 18 sec faster than last year, chip time 1'42:48 become my new PB timing. Glad to completed my 36th half marathon when I am 36 years old, with my Personal Best timing.

Spritzer - KRI Scenic Run 2010, sign up last day before the closing date, simply because I haven't do any race in Ipoh this year. Rolling hills route, 12km is tougher than SCMS 21km for me, run until going to vomit out my heart.

Anyhow finisher T is given to top 600 finisher.

Achievement for this year:

1. Completed monthly half marathon race, with one more as bonus.

2. Completed two (2) sub 1:45 in AIMS certified half marathon.
